Celebrating Australia's Holden Heritage

Long before Australians drove the famous Holden cars this iconic brand had its name on saddles & buggies, golf clubs and pedal cars...
trams and aero engines.
From humble beginnings as a saddlery in Adelaide the HOLDEN name quickly became synonymous with engineering innovation, industrial pride and Australian ingenuity.
The Trafalgar Holden Museum in Gippsland Victoria helps tell that remarkable story and celebrates Australia's Holden Heritage.

Housed in a quaintly preserved dairy factory in Trafalgar, the museum is run by a team of volunteer enthusiasts eager to preserve our national heritage.
The dream of our late founder Neil Joiner, the Museum was created to tell the complete story of the Holden brand and covers everything from early saddlery through to the last of the Holden branded cars.
Browse the gift shop, stop for a cuppa and watch Holden history on screen in the Bendigo Community Bank theatre.
Opened in 2014, the museum has grown every year and now houses thousands of Holden items in over 4000m2 of showrooms.

The Trafalgar Holden Museum is proud to inspire curiosity in our youngest visitors. The history we showcase is part of Australia’s story, and we’re passionate about helping future generations carry it forward.
To make learning fun, we have interactive displays where kids can explore the inner workings of a Holden car.
We also offer a “Find and Seek” activity — a fun challenge for kids to spot specific items as they wander through the museum. Simply grab a sheet from our friendly volunteers at reception, circle the items as you find them, and return it when complete to collect a prize!

through picturesque Gippsland.
Our 2026 cruise will be held on Sunday 18th October.
The event attracts all models of Holdens and their enthusiastic owners
and has become a popular event on the Holden enthusiasts calendar.
